Child Survivors Of Commercial Sexual Exploitation As Change Agents

OneChild is excited to announce a new partnership with Casa de Passagem, also known as the Brazilian Centre of the Child and Adolescent, located in Recife, in the Brazilian northeast. Launched in 1989, it was the first time that the plight of adolescent girls on the streets — sexually exploited, using drugs, stealing, and begging — was addressed.

Today, Casa de Passagem engages in bio-psycho-social interventions and offers professional and leadership training to at-risk children, adolescents, and young people, who come from low-income communities. Stay tuned to find out more about how OneChild and Casa de Passagem are teaming up to build the capacity of child survivors to reach out to at-risk populations of young people and prevent them from becoming entangled in the child sex trade in Recife.
