abolitionist bureau

What's an abolitionist you ask? This is a person who is opposed to slavery and acts against it.

At OneChild, we believe that there is something to be said when a young person stands before their peers and uses theIroquois Ridge speech power of their voice to express their opposition to the sexual enslavement of children around the world. Believe us--it's some pretty powerful stuff. Now we're on the lookout for youth who think they've got that special gift for public speaking and want a piece of the action!

But fret not, we get that public speaking can be nerve-wracking, and that's why we're here to help you develop your presentation and get you prepared to deliver it. After that, you'll have your chance to spread our message of dignity and rights for all children, by speaking to all kinds of audiences. So you think you've got what it takes? We're looking for youth who are :

  • Passionate about child rights and ending child sex slavery;
  • Willing to travel;
  • Availability (speaking opportunities may be scheduled during the day and evenings, on weekdays or weekends).  We’ll work with you to decide what fit yours schedule, but all we ask is for some flexibility on your end;
  • Between the ages of 12 and 25

Does this sound like you? Send us an email at worldshakers@onechild.ca, and tell us a) why you would make a great Youth Abolitionist b) your public speaking experience, if any
c) your availability. Spots on the Youth Abolitionist Bureau are limited!
